The Hollywood Reporter brings news that Warner Bros. will continue to embrace the format with two high-profile releases in 2011: 'Sucker Punch,' directed by Zack Snyder ('300,' 'Watchmen'), and 'Green Lantern,' the studio's latest DC Comics adaptation, directed by Martin Campbell ('Casino Royale').

'Sucker Punch,' a fantasy film about a young girl who journeys into an alternate reality, opens on March 25, 2011, with a cast that includes Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish and Carla Gugino. 'Green Lantern,' starring Ryan Reynolds as test pilot Hal Jordan, opens June 17, 2011.

Studios continue to develop high-profile tentpole projects for 3-D upon the massive success of James Cameron's 'Avatar.' This week also brought news that New Line's 'The Hobbit' may be in 3-D as well.
