In which case, the just-released Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is well on its way to satisfying those thirsty fans. (Not a surprise, they were tempting Hollywood with it almost a year ago.) According to Heat Vision, Lincoln has bewitched Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov to the producer's chair. Seth Grahame-Smith, author of Lincoln and Zombies, will pen the screenplay. The film isn't currently set up anywhere, but with Burton and Bekmambetov championing its Civil War thrills, that will probably be old news by the time you read it.
I haven't read Lincoln yet and can't say that I plan to. If you couldn't already tell, I'm very bored with the trend. (Looking through Amazon, I can't believe how many there are. Queen Victoria: Demon Hunter? A P&P&Z prequel? When did those happen?) But on the upside, we'll finally get a Lincoln movie. I suggest Burton and Bekmambetov call Liam Neeson. He's been waiting a long, long time to don that stovepipe hat. Better that he wears it to hunt down the vampires than never.
