In spite of a career that in theory is based on sexy scowling, it's nice to know that when it comes down to it, at least Robert Pattinson has a sense of humor about the whole thing. Last night the actor appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his romantic drama, Remember Me, and Fallon took the chance to revive his series of comedy skits titled, "Robert is Bothered". The premise is pretty simple: two minute rants about all the things that bother Mr. Pattinson (as played by Fallon), including New Moon, shirtless werewolves, and Valentine's Day (you can see the other skits over on robertisbothered.com). So last night, Fallon donned his Twilight button-down and polished off his bad British accent to welcome a special guest to his tree: the man himself, Edward Cullen (aka Pattinson).

It's strange, but after watching the clip, I realized that while I'm not exactly a fan of the Twilight series, there is a big part of me that wants to see its leads make it out of the franchise with their careers intact. Luckily for Edward's better half, Kristen Stewart, she has her lead role in The Runaways to bring her some dramatic credibility, but Pattinson is still in 'smolder' mode as the damaged rich boy in Remember Me, and his next two films, Bel Ami, and Unbound Captives seem to still be trading on Pattinson's 'romance' appeal. But thanks to Fallon, at least if Pattinson gets to be in on the unintentional comedy that Twilight has become, it can only help his reputation in the eyes of non-Twihards everywhere.

After the jump: some classic Pattinson, which mainly involves looking cute while hanging out in a tree...
