In case you weren't sure what 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' was about, you'll get to see our 16th President as "an axe-throwing, highly trained vampire assassin, promising to give new context to real historical events such as the Civil War and Lincoln's ascension to the White House. No word on whether any wooden stakes will be fashioned from log cabins.

The off-beat novel was written by Seth Grahame-Smith, famous for the surprise literary hit of 2009: 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.' That book is already in development to be a motion picture, with Natalie Portman set to co-produce and star. Grahame-Smith will write the screenplay for 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,' so hopefully it maintains that mix of blood, gore and steam-powered engines that audiences are loving.

Burton and Bekmambetov have teamed up once before, to produce last fall's animated adventure film '9.'

Casting for the film has yet to be announced, but our money is already on Johnny Depp.
