Honoring excellence in original web TV programming, The Streamy Awards is currently in its second year and has recently announced the nominees for this year's ceremony -- including several outstanding horror/sci-fi programs and actors. The spirit of indie entertainment is alive and well at The Streamys where more than 150,000 public submissions, covering 2,000 original shows, were narrowed down to a field of just over 100 nominees. Winners will be announced at two separate ceremonies being held on April 7 and April 11 in Hollywood, CA.

The awards presented span multiple disciplines, including Performance, Directing, Writing, Editing, Visual Effects, Sound and more. Some of this year's horror and sci-fi nominees include: Robert Englund (Fear Clinic), Dexter: Early Cuts, Eric Balfour (Valemont), Nathan Fillion (PG Porn), Harper's Globe, James Gunn (PG Porn), Craig Frank (Compulsions), Joe Absolom (Girl Number 9), Zoe Bell (Angel of Death) and Circle of Eight.

Winners will be selected by members of the International Academy of Web Television on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 5:30 pm and announced in front of a live audience at the Music Box at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, CA. The event will also be broadcasted online live to audiences around the world. Awards for craft categories will be presented at a separate Streamy Craft Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Barnsdall Art Center in Hollywood, CA, excerpts from which will be integrated into the live show.
