Now, according to ComicsAlliance.com, DC Direct is premiering a promotional item that should have many popping open their eyes and their wallets: a Megan Fox bust. Yeehaw! Fans of DC Comics are already anticipating the early summer release 'Jonah Hex,' the tale of the Civil War veteran and bad news bounty hunter. Its pitch-perfect casting of Josh Brolin as Jonah and Megan Fox as, well, someone wearing a corset, make it a safe bet for the box office.
Now, according to ComicsAlliance.com, DC Direct is premiering a promotional item that should have many popping open their eyes and their wallets: a Megan Fox bust.
Rather, that's a bust of Leah, the pistol-packing prostitute that Fox plays in the movie. The bust will be seen today at New York's Toy Fair, along with a 'Jonah Hex' bust that features a remarkable likeness of Brolin. These two busts come with three guns -- Jonah is shooting from both wings, while Leah strikes a more demure pose, with her firearm firmly in holster.
'Hex' is being brought to the screen by Pixar animator-turned-director Jimmy Hayward ('Horton Hears a Who!'). Slated for a June release, 'Hex' also stars John Malkovich and such scene-stealers as Michael Shannon (an Oscar nominee for 'Revolutionary Road') and Michael Fassbender (Lt. Hicox in 'Inglourious Basterds').
The introduction of the 'Hex' collectibles is the first press Fox has received since Mickey Rourke -- her co-star in the just-completed 'Passion Play' -- praised her acting ability to EW. "At 23," Rourke said, "I couldn't do half of what she's doing." Hey, why didn't they make action figures for 'Barfly'?
