The 3D trend continues today with news that the next 'Spider-Man' movie will fly into theaters like never before.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the now-untitled project will be shown in 3D theaters across the country, with a release date now set for July 3, 2012.

In the meantime, '(500) Days of Summer' helmer Marc Webb has been tapped to direct the blockbuster-in-waiting. James Vanderbilt of 'Zodiac' will write the script, with Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin set to produce.
