Oscars movie club
The Oscar nominations were announced on Feb. 2, and this time around, there were 10 Best Picture nominees instead of the usual five. It was a move designed to make sure that more popular movies were nominated -- but what it also means is, there are now five MORE movies you'll have to see before the Oscars roll around on March 7.

Well, break out that To Do list, because we're forming our very own Moviefone Oscars Movie Club. It's sort of like a book club, except with movies (and sorry, you'll have to bring your own snacks). Oscars movie club

We'll be discussing some of the Oscar-nominated films, via video podcast, on the dates below. All you have to do is 1) see them, and then 2) check back here on those dates to watch the videos and talk about the films with your fellow movie fans, in the comments sections.

Ready? Let's go to the movies. And to join in the discussion, you can follow us on Facebook or Twitter, or just check back here. See you Feb. 11!

(Note: We're not including 'Avatar' because we figure everyone's already seen it already. Plus we've argued about that movie until we're blue in the face ... so to speak.)
