According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wilde ('House') is in negotiations to play the female lead in Jon Favreau's follow-up to 'Iron Man 2', a live-action adaptation of the 2006 graphic novel 'Cowboys & Aliens'.

Wilde will play Ella, who teams up with a mysterious gunslinger (Daniel Craig) to save the wild west from a crew of aliens with plans to destroy it and enslave the townsfolk.

While it may sound like a new spin on the 1999 Will Smith clunker 'Wild Wild West,' 'Cowboys' has some major talent attached to it. In addition to Favreau and Craig, the screenplay was co-written by 'Lost''s Damon Lindelof. Steven Speilberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are set to co-produce alongside Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

No word yet on when shooting begins on 'Cowboys'. In the meantime, you can see Wilde in this December's 'Tron Legacy', and in Paul Haggis' 'The Next Three Days', due out later this year.
