The White RibbonMichael Haneke's 'The White Ribbon' is one of nine films in the running for this year's Best Foreign-Language Film Oscar.

Today, the Academy unveiled its shortlist for the category, which features films from Argentina, Israel and Peru, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Among the films competing against Haneke's critically-acclaimed film include 'El Secreto de Sus Ojos' from Argentina, 'Samson & Delilah' from Australia and the Netherlands' 'Winer in Wartime.'
