Tahar Rahim in A ProphetTahar Rahim: Remember the name. After his incredible performance in director Jacques Audiard's award-winning prison film A Prophet (in cinemas from 22 January) this actor has more buzz around him than a beekeeper.

Back in December, 28-year-old Rahim won Best Actor at the European Film Awards for A Prophet and, as of last week, became a nominee for Bafta's Orange Rising Star Award alongside such acting talent as Twilight's Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Nicholas Hoult and Carey Mulligan. Not bad for his first major movie role.
