Those of you familiar with the Marvel Comics character should agree that the guys who wrote 'Zombieland' are perfect choices to write 'Deadpool,' as the Woody Harrelson film's odd tone and tightrope-act mix of dark humor and sudden violence are pretty much spot-on with the 'Deadpool' comic series. Variety also reports that Reese and Wernick will stay true to the 'Deadpool' comic mythology, as Reynolds is a huge fan of the character.

Ryan Reynolds is preparing to play the title role in another comic book property, DC's 'Green Lantern,' and hopes to start shooting 'Deadpool' soon after while he's still in superhero shape.
