Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz at the Nine world premiereIf awards were being handed out for the year's most glamorous movie then Rob 'Chicago' Marshall's musical, Nine, would probably win. Boasting seven big-name leading ladies and Oscar-winner Daniel Day-Lewis it's a star-studded extravaganza.

So it was no surprise then that the movie's world premiere in London last night would be a fashion parade worthy of the Oscars. So it was no surprise then that the movie's world premiere in London last night would be a fashion parade worthy of the Oscars.

The two A-listers that stole the show on the night were Kate Hudson and Penélope Cruz who looked stunning in ballgowns which will have done little to keep out a very nippy London evening. Fellow Nine co-star, Nicole Kidman, took a less glamorous route however with her choice of outfit which has been described by some sections of the media as 'frumpy'.

The film's other female stars - Marion Cotillard, Sophie Loren and Stacy Ferguson - were unable to make the premiere due to other commitments.

The remaining big names from Nine that did attend were Dame Judi Dench and Daniel Day-Lewis who plays the lead in the movie playing a film director who struggles to balance the relationships of the various women in his life including his wife, his mistress, his film star muse, his confidant, an American fashion journalist, his glamorous courtesan and his mother.
