klingon hamletEarlier today we pointed you to a web site plastered with funny fan art dedicated to Star Trek's William Riker. We thought that would fill our "insane but awesome Star Trek fandom" post requirement for the day, but I'm happy to report that we were wrong. So very, very wrong.

Today we came across an amazing video that easily trumps vaguely blue Riker cartoons, and we have no other choice but to celebrate its existence.

Behold, after the jump, a grown man wearing a Klingon costume performing Hamlet's "To Be or Not to Be" monologue ... in "the original Klingon!"

This Shakespeare-lovin' warrior's name is Brian Rivera, and he is a very, very proud nerd. He sent this clip to Rob Bricken over at Topless Robot himself. Because of that, and because of the earnest acting on display in the clip, I've chosen to honor – not disparage -- Mr. Rivera and his herculean nerdness. Carry on friend, carry on.

(BTW, that image up top is taken from something called the Klingon Shakespeare Restoration Project. Yes, that's a thing.)
