I apologize that this list of this week's horror movies is arriving a day late, but in all fairness I doubt anyone noticed, for studios are still suffering the post-October DVD hangover that made November such a boring month. This week's may be the worst week of the year for genre fans.

Best of the New Releases: Um...

Can't I just weep in the corner? This week is plagued exclusively by straight-to-video titles, so all I've got to go on is cover art. That being the case, I'm going to hand it to Poker Run, though only because a first glance at it reminded me of the old cover of Phantasm.

Best of the Catalog Releases: Silent Night, Deadly Night Three Pack
Who needs the original classic when you can buy a three pack of sequels. Make sure you have plenty of Egg Nogg, or other Holiday libation of choice, and plunker down for Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!, Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation, and, of course, Silent Night, Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker. I haven't seen any of these three, but for $15 on Amazon, I may just be willing to throw down for the set, as I'm sure it'll make for a fun night with friends.

Complete List of Horror Movie DVDs and Blu-rays out December 1st, 2009:
- Deader Country
- Deadline (Starring Brittany Murphy, watch the first five minutes at FSR if it so pleases)
- Death Warrior (Not really a horror movie, but I'm just going to assume there is enough overlap between the people who would watch Rampage Jackson fight to the death in an underground MMA ring to save his wife's life and the people who would spend time with any of the other releases this week)
- The Evil Dead (Yes, another damned Evil Dead DVD!)
- Gremlins (Blu-ray; this has been out for a while as part of a store exclusivity agreement, today it is available everywhere)
- Little Red Devil
- Poker Run
- Silent Night, Deadly Night Three Pack
