Summit Preps a Big-Screen 'Alibi'Summit Entertainment (producers of the little-known 'Twilight' films) has joined Mandeville Entertainment's David Hoberman and Todd Leiberman to adapt the comic book 'Alibi' into a major motion picture, according to Variety.

The comic, written by Joshua Hale Fialkov and illustrated by Jeremy Haun, focuses on a well-known socialite whose life serves as the ideal cover-up for his secret twin: a government assassin. It's published by assassin lovers Top Cow Entertainment, who are hoping to recapture the success of 'Wanted,' which was adapted into a bullet-bending Angelina Jolie vehicle in 2008 to the tune of $340 million worldwide. "What I love about 'Alibi' is the great synthesis between the paranoia of 'Three Days of the Condor' with the action of the Jason Bourne movies," Hoberman said in August.

Screenwriter John Hlavin, whose credits include FX's 'The Shield' and the forthcoming, entirely necessary 'Underworld 4,' has signed on to pen the adaptation.
