Find out more... We know the worldwide economic downturn was bad, but not this bad. A leaked storyline from Sex and the City 2 has revealed that the lavish lifestyle of Carrie and her pals may be over when financial woe hits the ladies hard.
Although there's no official plot on the film yet, Ace Showbiz, an Israeli paper, claims to have seen the script and it looks like the fab four could be in for a tough time. Here's a breakdown of what happens to who:
Carrie: Her marriage to Big is put to the test when a financial scam makes them lose everything. Big has to grab a job in London, living in a 'rundown apartment,' and ends up cheating on Carrie, who gives him the axe before finding out she's having a baby.
Samantha: It sounds like she's back with Smith but has to 'downgrade her glam lifestyle.'
Miranda: She quits her law practice after getting sued and opens a restaurant with Steve.
Charlotte: Strangely, not much is said, which may mean everything stays the same.
Moreover, the film will allegedly reflect global economic problems in the real world through the film's wardrobe choices. An unnamed production insider allegedly said that the costumes used by the movie's characters will be "less over-the-top but still stylish."
Reports of Carrie being seen shopping in Lidls has thus far been unconfirmed.
Sex and the City is in cinemas from May 2010.
