Amy Adams is going to heaven, and Fox is hoping moviegoers will follow her.

Adams will produce and star in the upcoming 'The Ten Best Days of My Life,' based on Adena Halpern's novel of the same name, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Josh Klausner (writing credit on 'Shrek the Third') will pen the screenplay, and Shawn Levy ('Night at the Museum,' 'Cheaper by the Dozen') will direct.

Elements of 'Ten Best Days' do seem to echo Albert Brooks' 'Defending Your Life,' in which Brooks does exactly what the title says in the afterlife.

Adams should be able to turn on the charm for 'Ten Best Days.' She hasn't turned in a clunker of a performance yet en route to being nominated for two Oscars ('Junebug' and'Doubt'). Incidentally, some will say that Levy directed Adams to the best 2009 performance of Amelia Earhardt in 'Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.'

Need an Adams fix before 'Ten Best Days'? She stars in the rom-com 'Leap Year,' due Jan. 8, 2010.
