fringe observer

It looks like a pretty standard week TV-wise, unless you're as excited as I am about getting to know more about The Observer on Fringe or watching Zod take over the world on Smallville. Nothing else is really popping out at me this week. I'm hoping V gets more interesting, I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the goings-on at FlashForward central, and I'm still on the fence about The Prisoner.

Read on for this week's TV picks and previews.

Heroes, "Brother's Keeper" – Peter uses his new power to heal Parkman/Sylar (I think we all saw that one coming), and The Haitian reveals the truth about Nathan/Sylar to Peter. Mohinder returns after uncovering yet another conspiracy that puts him on Samuel's radar. (Monday, 8 p.m. on NBC.)

Head after the jump for more picks and preview videos.

The Prisoner – Catch the final two nights of AMC's sorta engaging and sorta incoherent new twist on The Prisoner. (Monday and Tuesday, 8 p.m. on AMC.)

V, "A Bright New Day" – Lou Dobbs keels over on his white horse as Anna and the Visitors get their U.S. visas. Chad feels uncomfortable helping the aliens, which is probably appropriate since they're evil, murderous lizard-skinned monsters. (Tuesday, 8 p.m. on ABC.)

Fringe, "August"
– People who take pride in spotting The Observer should love this week's ep, which features the team meeting and interacting with Ol' Baldy. Maybe we'll finally get some real answers about why he's always skulking around the crime scenes. (Thursday, 9 p.m. on Fox.)

FlashForward, "Believe" – I'm getting dizzy trying to keep the facts straight concerning FlashForward's many, many plot threads. This week, Bryce looks for the woman from his vision, while Mark tracks down the person who told Olivia about his drinking problem. And everyone else is on the hunt for someone who might have valuable information. So, you know, the usual. (Thursday, 8 p.m. on ABC.)

Supernatural, "Abandon All Hope"Firefly and Battlestar alum Mark Sheppard guest stars as the boys go up against Mark Pellegrino's Lucifer. (Thursday, 9 p.m. on The CW.)

Smallville, "Pandora" – More alternative reality madness as Tess takes a peek at Lois' vision of a future Metropolis ruled by Zod where Clark is powerless, Oliver and Chloe are resistance fighters, and everything looks very, very red. (Friday, 9 p.m. on The CW.)

Stargate Universe, "Life" – The communication stones come into play again as crewmembers, including Young and Camille Wray, visit their loved ones back on Earth. I'm looking forward to this one only because Col. Telford might finally get his ass kicked! (Friday, 9 p.m. on Syfy.)

Sanctuary, "Veritas" – Magnus is framed for the murder of an abnormal. Syfy keeps its cast-swapping tradition going with a guest spot by Eureka's Erica Cerra. (Friday, 10 p.m. on Syfy).
