"I haven't done a lot of machine gun shooting in my life," Biel told Moviefone at Saturday's premiere of her new animated film, 'Planet 51.' "I am doing that now -- a lot."

Biel adds, "It's amazing, to understand how to run those weapons. Also a 9 mm Beretta. I know it's a little hardcore for 11 AM on a Saturday morning. But it's what I've been doing." jessica bielJessica Biel is becoming a gun-toting pro for her highly anticipated action movie 'The A-Team.'

After cutting her acting teeth on '7th Heaven,' Biel has stretched her muscles in across various genres, from horror ('The Texas Chainsaw Massacre') to action ('Stealth') to comedy ('I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry') to drama ('The Illusionist').

Biel says she may soon be a crack shot with the guns.

"Getting there -- getting to understand those weapons a little bit better," Biel says. "It's always challenging!"

'The A-Team,' which is currently shooting and is scheduled for release next June, is directed by Joe Carnahan ('Smokin' Aces,' 'Narc'), and co-stars Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson.

Biel stars as the alien dream girl Neera in 'Planet 51,' out Nov. 20.
