Rumors of a December 29th DVD and Blu-ray release date for Fox's under-performing horror flick Jennifer's Body have been circulating for over a week, but we can now confirm them as official thanks to Fox Home Entertainment. If that weren't enough, the company has also released full details on the extras included with both packages. As is becoming the norm, DVD purchasers get far less than their Blu-ray owning brethren...
The Blu-ray package is a two-disc unrated set packed with all sorts of goodies, including the theatrical widescreen feature film, audio commentary with Director Karyn Kusama and writer Diablo Cody, an extended widescreen version featuring audio Commentary with director Karyn Kusama, deleted scenes, Jennifer's Body: The Dead Pool, video diaries with the cast and crew, Megan Fox Is HOT, Megan Fox "Peer Pressure" PSA and Fox Movie Channel Presents 'Life After Film School' With Writer Diablo Cody. Did Cody even go to film school?
The second disc of the Blu-ray package features a digital copy of the extended version of the film.
Meanwhile if you're one of those poor shlubs (like me) still surviving with boring old DVD, here's what you can expect:
• Theatrical Widescreen Feature Film
• Audio Commentary with Director Karyn Kusama and Writer Diablo Cody
• Extended Widescreen Version
• Audio Commentary with Director Karyn Kusama
That's a much shorter list. The lesson here? Buy a Blu-ray player.
