Andrew Traucki (director of the criminally underrated killer croc flick Black Water) returns to the waters of Australia, this time plunging a group of sailors into the path of a predatory Great White Shark in his latest feature, The Reef. To help promote the film to a wider audience, he'll be using current internet technology to stream live footage of the shoot from the set in Hervey Bay, Queensland.
Twitch caught up with Traucki, who explained what viewers can expect should they tune in. "We're going to have two cameras filming footage, one on our big camera and one outside watching things, interspersed with interviews cut beforehand. It might be a world first and it's certainly a first for an Australian film that you can see everything on set as it happens."
American viewers can catch the live footage starting today at 4:30 PM EST. Point your browser to the The Reef's official website for the stream, a clip from Andrew Traucki, and more.
