"I was 195 [pounds] on 'G.I. Joe.,'" Wayans told Moviefone at Thursday's Ante Up for Africa event in San Manuel, Calif., to benefit pal Don Cheadle's charity for Darfur. "Right now, I am 167. I am trying to get down to 145 for 'White Chicks 2.' Getting skinny!"

Wayans played the slender and muscular Ripcord in last year's 'G.I. Joe,' and will next be seen as white woman, albeit one in lots of makeup, in the sequel to the 2004 comedy 'White Chicks.'

Besides losing weight, Wayans has been busy writing jokes for the script. He has penned dialogue for his other franchise movie series 'Scary Movie' and TV's 'In Living Color.'

"It's never easy," Wayans says. "A lot of writing, creating, and losing weight. Making jokes, that's a tough life. Trying to think of jokes that are going to make the whole theater laugh, every theater across the country and world, telling that one joke. It's hard, but it's what we do. I have been able to feed my kids, send them to a good private school, and let them get a good education. They are doing multiplication in like the first and second grade. They better do something, so I can retire and spend their money."

Along with losing lots of weight, Wayans may soon get the chance to flex his acting chops in the anticipated biopic of comedian Richard Pryor, a film that is being produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison, and of which is Wayans is reportedly in talks to play Pryor.
