Looking for something good and geeky to watch? Here are this week's notable DVD and Blu-ray releases:

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan (DVD & Blu-ray)
Dean Stockwell's depraved Cylon baddie Cavil takes center stage in The Plan, a BSG flick that retells some the series' major events through the eyes of the "toasters." The Plan certainly won't please every BSG fan with its awkward mix of old and new footage, but Stockwell is great, and this return trip to the Galactica offers some nice surprises. Director Edward James Olmos and writer Jane Espenson offer commentary on the DVD and Blu-ray, both of which are loaded with mini docs and deleted scenes.

The Prisoner: The Complete Series Megaset
(Collector's Edition) (DVD & Blu-Ray)
Just in time for the AMC remake. Catch up with Patrick McGoohan as he tries to escape his surreal prison village in this classic British sci-fi mystery series. The latest edition of this 17-episode set features rare location shooting footage and other choice nuggets for completists.

Stargate: 15th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray)
This Blu-ray release features both the theatrical and extended cuts of Roland Emmerich's original 1994 Stargate film, plus four hours of special features, including three new featurettes and a gag reel. With Emmerich talking about making a sequel (or sequels!), this might be the perfect time to revisit the original.
