Actor Daniel Craig says the 23rd incarnation of James Bond will go into production in late 2010.

According to CommanderBond.net Craig, who took the 007 baton from Pierce Brosnan in 2006 for a remake of 'Casino Royale,' and who also starred in 2008's 'Quantum of Solace,' was captured on video blurting out the production start date to a throng of autograph-seeking fans following a recent Broadway performance of 'A Steady Rain' (in which he stars alongside Hugh Jackman). MGM had previously announced a Nov. 18, 2011, premiere date for the as-yet-untitled 'Bond 23,' although producer Michael Wilson had earlier stated that the film would go into production this year.

While production Bond production budgets have soared amid Craigs visual-effects-and stunts-heavy 007 reign, so has the global box office, with 'Casino Royale' taking in $594 million and 'Quantum of Solace' making $586 million in theaters worldwide.
