Halloween is approaching, and we're giving out treats: tips on how to dress like your favorite movie characters.

The Costume: Wolverine

What You'll Need: You can purchase a ready-made "Classic" Wolverine get-up, or you can do a DIY version of the modern -- a.k.a. Hugh Jackman's hotter version -- Wolvie. Essential elements: Faded jeans, large metal belt buckle, boots, white tank top undershirt, button-down shirt over that, beat-up dark leather jacket (with three orange stripes around each arm, i.e. duct tape), muttonchop facial hair, Wolverine's duck-tail-ish hairdo and, of course, the Adamantium claws. If you are so inclined, you can make your own claws -- though we warn, it involves aluminum plates, patterns and a band saw and belt sander, and a process that sounds dangerous enough to suggest you might actually need to use the DIY claws as replacement hands if that saw goes askew. Probably best to purchase a pair of Wolverine claws, like these cool electronic ones (they retract! they make noise!) we found from Hasbro.

Optional Accessories: Wolverine's dog tags.
