Prout joins already-confirmed stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, all of which are reprising their roles for the upcoming movie.

As a key member of the vampire army, Lucy will play a major role in the backstory of Jasper Hale (Jackson Rathbone), the member of the Cullen family whose history during the Civil War will be explored in greater depth in 'Eclipse.'

Prout, whose breakthrough came at the age of 14 as the character Abby in 20th Century Fox's 'Elektra,' is currently in Vancouver wrapping up two projects for Lifetime: a lead role in the miniseries 'Seven Deadly Sins' and 'Meteor', a made for TV movie starring Michael Trucco ('Battlestar Galactica').

'Eclipse,' based on Stephanie Meyer's book of the same name, is currently scheduled to be released next June and follows on the success of 2008's 'Twilight' (Which grossed over $190 million) and anticipated box office triumph of the upcoming 'New Moon', scheduled for release November 20.

Currently in production in Prout's home country of Canada, 'Eclipse' sees David Slade ('30 Days of Night') taking over directorial duties from 'Moon''s Chris Weltz.
