[Welcome to the Sci-Fi Lunch Break, where we'll be supplying you with a cool bit of audio/visual goodness to break up the monotony of the work day. You bring the turkey on rye, we'll bring you something out of this world to watch while you eat it.]
When I was a kid and didn't know any better, I hated going to see a play, musical, or, well, anything that took place on a stage. However, like most kids, I was rapturously in love with dinosaurs and Jurassic Park, so I can't imagine how blown my little mind would have been had I'd gone to see a variety show in which giant, incredibly life-like dinosaurs swarmed the stage. And yet that's exactly what happens in the below clip from a German TV show/stage production called "In the Realm of Giants".
I don't know what the show is specifically about, all I know is that were it not for a pair of legs and a visible harness here and there, I would be convinced that these dinosaurs were CGI. But they're not, they're animatronic assisted human performers and the result is amazing. If grown up me is this impressed, I can only imagine how stunned little kid me would have been to see this.
