'The Office' and 'Parks and Recreation' star Rashida Jones has added screenwriter to her bourgeoning resume. Her script for 'Celeste and Jesse Forever' was given the greenlight by Fox Atomic earlier this year, and now Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment have grabbed 'Frenemy of the State,' co-written by Jones with fellow actor Will McCormack.

The story is based on a graphic novel co-written by Jones with Jeff Wamester, Christina Weir and Nunzio DeFilippi and follows a wealthy young heiress who doubles as an undercover CIA agent. But don't expect Jones to be suiting up as a superhero anytime soon. She tells Variety that her work on 'Frenemy' will only be behind the camera. "It's intended for a girl much younger than me, about age 20, an interesting age for girls as they make that scary jump to adulthood," she says. The daughter of music producer Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton, Jones first put pen to paper as a contributing editor for Teen Vogue and wrote a chapter of her father's 2001 autobiography 'Q.' Despite being a newbie in the screenwriting department, we should be in pretty good hands if her written word is half as funny as her onscreen acting skills. -- By Jason Newman
