In an October 1 announcement on his website, Bay writes that the new 'Transformers 3' release date is July 1, 2011. He tells fans that the movie will have a "great" story, and that he and writer Ehren Kruger are talking to toymaker Hasbro about new characters.
Bay also takes the opportunity to rib Fox, who has spent all summer groaning about the director in interviews, likening him to Hitler and saying that he demanded from her lots of running and screaming but no real acting. The Hitler remark earned Fox a lengthy rebuke from three anonymous longtime Bay crew members who called her "a thankless, classless, graceless, and shall we say unfriendly bi***."
Bay has disavowed both that crew letter and Fox's "outlandish quotes", but in yesterday's announcement, he warns Fox that she shouldn't expect to be treated any more gently on the "T3" shoot, saying, "Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you." Funny, the same might be said about his movies.
