Uma Thurman in Kill Bill"The Bride will fight again!" No, this isn't a line of dialogue lifted from 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' but rather Quentin Tarantino's triumphant, fist-pumping announcement during a recent appearance on the Italian talk show 'Parla con Me' of his plans to make 'Kill Bill Vol. 3.'

We know, we know. Tarantino is notorious for saying stuff like this, getting overeager and treating projects as fact before anyone has signed on the dotted line. But still, there is reason to hope that 'Kill Bill 3' is on the very near horizon. In the wake of the release of 2004's 'Kill Bill Vol. 2,' Tarantino was already talking sequel, though he told Entertainment Weekly that it would probably be a whopping 15 years before he tackled a third installment.

But now it seems QT is so psyched to continue the story of the Hanzo-sword-wielding Bride (aka Beatrix Kiddo, aka Black Mamba, aka Uma Thurman) -- who last time we saw her had used Pai Mei's legendary "Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique" to exact her revenge upon her husband-killing ex-beau and driven off into the sunset with her very-much-alive daughter B.B. -- that's he's accelerated the time table by five years.

"'Kill Bill 3' will probably come out -- I've got to wait a couple years because I wanted 10 years to pass from the second one to the third one," Tarantino explained to the vivacious 'Parla con Me' host. When she asked the natural question, "Why?," he replied: "Two reasons. One, I think me and Uma needed a 10-year break because the first one was so hard. And the second one is: I love the character of the Bride. I just really, really love her. And I think she deserved 10 years of peace. She deserved 10 years of no fighting. She deserved 10 years with her child B.B. just of peace. I put her through a lot in those first two movies, and I wanted her to have a nice peaceful life for 10 years. I wanted her to hang up her sword and have some peace. Then after 10 years, something will happen that makes her fight again."

What will that something be? And does Tarantino realize that in a couple years the Earth will only have completed seven (and not 10) revolutions of the sun since the last time the Bride sliced and diced her way through foes with her trusty Hanzo? Our bet for the plot -- and something Tarantino himself referenced in an interview with EW back in '04 -- is that 'Vol. 3' will revolved around dismembered villainess Sophie Fatale raising Nikki, the daughter of Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox), and helping her seek revenge against the Bride for killing her mom. Does this sound like a viable plot? Are you psyched for 'Kill Bill 3'? And, will we really get to see it in a couple years? We say: Bring it on, Kiddo.
