The infamous gift lounges at film festivals are usually about showering celebrities with luxurious products, hoping that the stars will advertise the goods. Toronto's IT Lounge seeks to break the mould by having sponsors and participating brands make significant contributions to a dozen charities. While the stars will still be receiving certain items, they will be - in a sense - giving back to the community.

The IT Lounge doors are open from September 10th-16th, at the luxurious Windsor Arms Hotel - command-central for the hottest film festival events and parties. Top celebs and film industry VIPs will be welcomed by invitation only to see the latest from such brands as as Fila, Brooks, Teva, Goody, Please Mum, Kiehl's, Richart Chocolate, J. Rox Originals, Sou! Foundation, Penny Protein Plan, SKYY Vodka, Universal Music, and Sharpie. Some of the causes benefiting from sponsors' support include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto, Camp Oochigeas, SoU! Foundation, Sick Kids Foundation, World Vision, KidsFest Reading and Running Club, ParticipACTION, WaterKeeper Alliance, Canadian Cancer Society, and Artists for Peace and Justice.
