'Spider-Man' director Sam Raimi just upped his geek cred even more. He has signed on to direct 'Warcraft,' a live-action movie based on the popular fantasy role-playing video game franchise 'World of Warcraft' -- which features a plethora of strange characters and chronicles the epic conflict between the Alliance and the Horde. Michael Jackson fans are getting a Halloween treat this year. After ponying up $60M for the rights to rehearsal footage from the King of Pop's 'This Is It' tour, Sony will release a concert film culled from the material in theaters on Oct. 30. 'Terminator Salvation' breakout (and upcoming star of 'Avatar' and 'Clash of the Titans') Sam Worthington will headline a remake of the twisty Danish thriller 'The Candidate,' playing a defense attorney who goes on the hunt for blackmailers only to find himself accused of murder. Newcomer Zachary Gordon has been tapped to play the titular smartass middle-school student in 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid,' based on Jeff Kinney's best-selling illustrated novels.
