A big-screen version of 'T.J. Hooker' is in the works, Harrison Ford is reportedly in for 'Indiana Jones 5,' 'Transformers' and 'Ice Age' have a photo finish at the box office, and more of today's top movie headlines. The hit '80s cop show 'T.J. Hooker' is headed for theaters with Chuck Russell ('The Mask') in talks to direct. William Shatner played the titular straight-shooting patrol sergeant in the 1982-86 ABC/CBS series, with Adrian Zmed, Heather Locklear, Richard Herd and James Darren co-starring. No actors have yet been cast to take over the roles, though we're sure Shatner will be lobbying for a cameo. [Variety]


Take this with a grain of salt, as it comes from an unnamed source, but Harrison Ford is reportedly set to star in 'Indiana Jones 5.' The film, a follow-up to last year's 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,' would shoot next year and bow in theaters in 2011 ... when Ford is a ripe young 69. [CBS Insider]


'Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs' and 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' celebrated the Fourth of July with some box office fireworks, with studio estimates predicting that both films finished the three-day weekend with $42.5M to tie for the No. 1 spot. Since opening on Wednesday, 'Ice Age 3' has raked in $67.5M to 'Transformers 2''s $64.9M over the same frame. [PopEater]




'Vacancy' director Nimrod Antal has been tapped to helm 'Predators,' a Robert Rodriguez-produced reboot of the popular alien franchise. The 1987 original starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, while the most recent iteration was 2007's 'Alien vs. Predator: Requiem.' [Variety]


Tim Meadows is the latest party guest to join Adam Sandler's upcoming comedy 'Grown Ups,' which is shaping up to be one heck of an 'SNL' reunion. Fellow alums Maya Rudolph, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Chris Rock, Norm MacDonald, Tim Herlihy and Colin Quinn also star in the film, about high school pals who get together 30 years later.
