If you've ever seen Colin Eggleston's Long Weekend, good for you. You've seen a strange but fascinating 1978 indie thriller from Australia that wasn't really begging for a remake. But that didn't stop someone from mounting a new version with James Caviezel and Claudia Karvan ... if there's a silver lining, it's that the director is Jamie Blanks, whose most recent flick (Storm Warning) was a solid little surprise. Plus the writer is genre veteran Everett De Roche, who also penned Road Games, Fortress, and the original Long Weekend. So that's also cool.

The remake will hit the DVD shelves on August 4, but (as astutely observed by Shock) the title is now Nature's Grave. Color me curious. And then click here for cover art and a few more details. And check out Peter Martin's original report right here!
