You know those tabloid reports that Nic Cage hired a voodoo priestess to break a curse on the set of his new movie 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'? Well, the gossip rags made them up (shocker!). Cage tells Moviefone exclusively: "I do want to make clear ... you may have seen around, on the Internet and what not, in different magazines who seem to have no intention of checking their facts ... I did NOT hire a voodoo priestess to break a hex on the movie. 100 percent false. And I don't know why tabloids don't call up and ask before they print this."

Looks like the wheels are finally spinning on the long-gestating Lance Armstrong biopic. 'Seabiscuit' scribe Gary Ross has been hired to write the screenplay, which will center on the cyclist's unlikely comeback from cancer to win seven straight Tour de France titles.
