Though we're still months away from the final season of Lost (god, I get goose bumps just thinking about that), some folks are beginning to let slip some smaller details, like which characters may or may not be returning to the show. First up is word that Emilie de Ravin (who plays Claire on the show) will be back for the full season, though there's no word on how, why or when she'll make her return. Producer Carlton Cuse told EW: "Damon and I are very excited to bring Claire back to the show, and even more excited for people to experience just how she will return."

Ah, but what about Claire's old flame, Charlie. Well, this is where things become a little stranger. In a new promo for upcoming ABC shows, Dominic Monaghan is hanging out with some other ABC stars like Patrick Dempsey and Courtney Cox-Arquette, when Dempsey turns to Monaghan and says, "I thought you were dead." Monaghan then looks at Cox, and says, "He's right, I was."

A) Why would ABC put Monaghan (of all people) in a commercial promoting upcoming shows if he's only in Lost, and B) Why would they use those particular lines of dialogue if he wasn't going to return. I feel this is their way of saying he's coming back, but we'll have to wait a long time to actually see if there's some truth to that.

Discuss: Do you want Charlie back on the show, or will his Claire whining become just another distraction?
