Greek is a sequel of sorts to the 2008 romantic comedy, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Brand is reprising his role of Aldous Snow, a bed-hopping and socially clueless rock star, and the story will pick up with Snow who has since lapsed back into his druggie ways. Hill will play a young insurance adjuster who has been given the seemingly impossible task of getting the out of control celeb to a gig at L.A's Greek Theater.
UPDATE: Blunt's publicist and Universal have come forward to say that this casting rumor is not true, so says EW.
You may not like the man, but you can't deny that Brand has been awfully busy lately with his self-promotion blitz. It's funny if you think back a year and nobody had ever heard of the guy -- but now we've got him 'tweeting' like a madman, popping up on late night talk shows, and seducing random Australians -- what a difference a year makes. Greek will be one of the few all out comedy flicks in Blunts resume, so there isn't much you can say about whether or not she can make with the funny. Personally, I don't think she couldn't have a better partner than Brand...how about you?
Get Him to the Greek is scheduled for release in 2010.
