An inventor must choose between $30 million ... and pride.

Sounds like an easy decision, doesn't it? But if Robert Kearns (Greg Kinnear) had taken the money and retired on a beach in the Caribbean somewhere, there probably wouldn't have been a movie made about him (or a very interesting one, anyway).

'Flash of Genius' tells the inspirational story of Kearns, who invented the intermittent windshield wiper (of course you knew that already) and spent the rest of his life fighting the automobile companies for the credit.

In this exclusive clip, a litigator attempts to convince Kearns to settle out of court to the tune of $30 million (and this is '60s, so that's like a billion dollars today). Of course Kearns shoots him down, but what's surprising is how resolute his kids are. Think about how many Radio Flyers you could buy with that pay out!

'Flash of Genius' opens Friday.
