Zack and Miri Make a PornoAudiences love a good 'Porno.'

There was never any question that Kevin Smith would take his renowned raunchiness to new heights with the bluntly titled 'Zack and Miri Make a Porno'; it was just a matter of how far he would push the envelope.

Well, it's safe to say that said envelope is floating somewhere in the stratosphere at this moment, having been jettisoned into the heavens by the film's refreshingly profanity-laden dialogue, extremely frank sex talk and some niftily staged soft-core fornicating that could teach Skinemax a thing or two.

But as with Judd Apatow's '40-Year-Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up,' the sexcapades, vulgarity and jokes about unclean orifices merely provide the backdrop for the beating heart of the film -- the will-they-or-won't-they relationship between Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks).

As platonic roommates and best pals since the first grade who agree to make an amateur porno to pay their overdue bills, Rogen and Banks have a seemingly endless supply of chemistry. So when they agree to violate the bounds of the "friend zone" and do the deed on camera, we know it's only a matter of time before they fall for one another -- but the fun is watching them reach that, um, climax.

Don't let the title fool you. "Porno' pokes fun at anything and everything to do with sex and the adult film industry, but its driving theme is simple and sweet and not vulgar in the slightest: Sex between two people who love each other can be a beautiful, life-changing pleasure.
