It's good to see Will Sasso making a solid name for himself. While I remember the British Columbia native most from his time as Derek Wakaluk on the Canadian teen show, Madison, you probably recognize him from his long stint on MadTV. But there's also tons of movies as well -- such as Ernest Goes to School, Beverly Hills Ninja, Drop Dead Gorgeous and Best in Show. He's currently got a stint in Richard Kelly's long-awaited Southland Tales, and has now lined up two polar opposite roles.

The Hollywood Reporter has posted that Disney has signed him to co-star with Martin Lawrence as a fellow officer and best friend in a flick called College Road Trip. Lawrence plays the dad to a girl hitting the road to find the perfect college (rumored to star Raven), and he goes with her to keep her in line. Obviously, this is nice, family-friendly fare, or at least, teen-friendly fare. The complete opposite of this total Disney role, he's also signed to star in an indie film called For Christ's Sake, with Jed Rees (Men with Brooms), Sara Rue (who looks completely different these days) and Alex Borstein (Family Guy). In this one, he plays a porn producer who is looking for cash for his next movie. He decides to try to get the money from his brother, the priest. Obviously, he wouldn't get it for telling the truth, so he lies and says he is ill and needs the cash for treatment. (Sasso is also producing the film.) Well, if you want to keep you options open, there's nothing like following up a Disney teen film where you play a cop, with an indie flick that has you making porn and lying to priests!
