New Line has provided Cinematical with a first look at the brand spanking new Hairspray website, which goes live today at 6PM EST/3PM PST. The picture you see above will be the new home page intro; as you can see, it features the entire cast in character -- with newcomer Nikki Blonsky (Tracy Turnblad) leading the pack. 16 years after the classic John Waters film, Hairspray is about to receive a big-screen revival -- thanks, in part, to the success of the hot Broadway show. Have you ever wondered what John Travolta would look like overweight and dressed as a woman? And what if he was married to Christopher Walken? As creepy as it sounds, that's where they're going with this thing -- and if director Adam Shankman can find a way to tap into the campy spirit of the first film, then fans old and new should have a blast with this star-studded spectacular.

After the jump, we've provided you with two more screenshots from the website, as well as further details on what you can expect to find later this afternoon when the Hairspray gang officially attack the web ... in all their sticky, colorful glory. The film also stars Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer, Amanda Bynes, Allison Janney, Brittany Snow, Zac Efron and Elijah Kelle. Featuring old and new material, Hairspray hits theaters on July 20

A full photo gallery is just one of the brand new special features fans can dive into once the site is up and fully operational. Scroll through pics of John Travolta as Edna Turnblad (as seen above), and lose yourself in some of the film's most memorable moments. Apart from this gallery, you can also take part in MySpace Makeovers (not sure what that means, but it's got "How to look like an overweight female version of John Travolta" written all over it), as well as enjoy multiple downloads, a trailer and clips from the film. In the coming months, the site will add some special features, games and a whole lot more. I want you amped up for this people!

Never watched the original film or managed to catch the show on Broadway? No problem. Fans can enjoy an "about the cast" page, which gives you background info on some of the pic's main characters. For example, you'll learn how the film's star, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing, and that it's her dream to appear on "The Corny Collins Show." However, the "cool" kids want nothing to do with her plus-sized figure, and if she's going to fit in then she needs to start listening to her father (played by Christopher Walken) who says, "Go for it! You've got to think big to be big."
