Although I have nothing specific to point to as a reason, I like Dennis Quaid. A quick scan down his IMDB page tells me I don't like the majority of his films, but I dig the guy as an actor. And hey, I liked In Good Company, so there's something. Quaid's got a handful of projects on the horizon, the most notable among them probably being Smart People, and he's just announced another film he's got in the works currently titled The Horsemen, to be directed by Jonas Åkerlund (Spun). Also signing on to star alongside Quaid is Ziyi Zhang. Those of you with an above room-temperature IQ have probably already connected the title of the film with the title of my post -- yes, it means those horsemen. You know, the Big Four.

Quaid will play a "bitter detective" (is there any other kind?) grieving over the loss of his wife. In the meantime, he is investigating a crazy murder case, as detectives so often do. However, while he is investigating the case he discovers -- ready for this -- "a shocking connection between himself and the suspects in a serial killing spree linked to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." What exactly this means we are currently left to guess, but I'm pulling for Dennis Quaid as the long-lost fifth horseman, Mildew. C'mon ... Death, War, Famine, Pestilence and Mildew.

If it were up to you to add a fifth horsemen for Quaid to portray, who would it be? I know somebody out there wants to throw down a Terry Pratchett "Mr. Soak" reference, so go for it.
