Here's another round of photos of Toronto in the area around Cinematical's TIFF headquarters and the venues within walking distance. This edition of the photoblog includes some shots of the red carpet at the Black Sheep premiere.
The theme at TIFF 2006 is "show our vounteers some love," because a fest this size could not exit without the legions of volunteers who help keep order. Rico is one such volunteer, bravely manning the rowdy Midnight Madess line without showing so much as glint of fear in his eyes. You go, Rico. By the by, Rico is modeling the official TIFF shirt there. It's supposed to be these red wings that flap down over the eyes of this face, but seriously -- doesn't it look like a weird alien to you?
Even late at night, traffic down Yonge St churns along.
Yonge and Dundas. Just in case you're ever in Toronto and for some reason want to eat a the Hard Rock Cafe, there it is.
Sheep on the black carpet at the Midnight Madness premiere of Black Sheep.
Director Jonathon King (top right) seems a bit skeptical about the whole sheep thing. How would you feel if all the reporters on the red carpet wanted to talk to the sheep?
Cinematica's Scott Weinberg (with Netscape's Alexia Prichard on the camera) interviews Black Sheep director Jonathon King on the red carpet (see the video interview here). Check out the kid in the background wearing a snazzy Cinematical t-shirt.
