HighlanderBack in July, we reported that Highlander the next (How many is that, 14?) was officially going to happen - and now, reports indicate that filming wrapped earlier this month. Holy crap those Highlanders work fast! The movie, titled Highlander: The Source, was directed by one Brett Leonard, whose previous work resulted in two of the worst movies I've ever seen: Virtuosity and The Lawnmower Man. Sounds great, huh? According to the IMDb, The Source - which appears to be the first installment in a new trilogy - finds Duncan and his buddies living during a grim time (that's a surprise). Things suck, they're bored, and the TV is on the fritz, so to pass the time "this small group sets out on a quest to find the origin of the first Immortal and The Source of their immortality." Nice.

The film is due out some time next year. If you want even more details in the meantime, star and Highlander-until-he-dies Adrian Paul kept a diary of the shoot, and the Official International Highlander Fan Club (have mercy) has a gallery of photos for your viewing pleasure.
