HaloAs if people weren't already dangerously excited about the (Peter Jackson executive-produced! Yay!) Halo, now comes a very, very positive review of Alex Garland's screenplay, which has apparently been leaked to someone at Latino Review. Allegedly. (Read everything in this post with that word in mind, since there's no way to know if this guy actually managed to get hold of a script. Or, if he did, if what he has is real.)

Anyway, I think it's safe to say that he likes it: "The script is so damn good and entertaining that I read it more than once. A tour de force. The clowns at the other studios who passed on this are gonna lose their jobs when this movie comes out and opens huge. Whoever at the other studios thought that this script wasn’t up to snuff can kiss my ass." Don't hold back man, tell us how you really feel.

What's interesting about the review is that the guy says he's not a gamer - never even played Halo when he picked up the script. Allegedly. That fact alone lends the rave some added legitimacy, I think, since everyone assumes that gamers are likely to enjoy movies based on world with which they're familiar - an outsider being this taken with the script is something entirely different. Lots and lots and lots of details about the script can be found at the link below, but if you actually have to go to work and don't have time to read the whole thing, know this: "Halo will be the mother of all video game movies."
